Welcome to the BIODYNAMIC Mailing list!
Greeting EARTHling!
My name is Allan Balliett and I am the moderator of the BD Mailing list.
I'm the guy who will forward mail to the list as well as handle
subscriptions and removals and will attempt to re-direct off-topic threads.
Just as well start at the finish: If you would like to be removed from this
list, just send mail to me at igg@his.com with "UNSUBSCRIBE BD-L" in the
subject field. You will not receive a confirmation of cancellation, in
fact, you may not ever hear from me again! :-)
Subscribe to this list by sending mail to igg@his.com with "SUBSCRIBE BD-L"
in the subject.
To send mail to this list, just mail it to igg@his.com. Since all mail will
be forwarded manually, it would be very helpful if you worked "BD" into the
subject of your mail, but it is hardly necessary.
I'm happy to say that former Kimberton (and Claymont!!!) gardener Woody
Wodraska of Patagonia, AZ has just joined this list.
As you may know, Woody is the author of the recent article on FLOW FORMS in
the BD Quarterly. Woody will be happy to answer any questions about FLOW
FORMS and other 'subtle energy' devices and techniques, as well as
questions about most anything else involving the soil and food. I have been
very fortunate to have had Woody as a personal resource the last several
months. Listen to him well: his is the voice of wisdom AND experience!!
A little bit about myself:
My name is Allan Balliett. Born in Long Beach California in December,1947.
Trained in US history, I have earned my daily bread as a computer
programmer until recently.
Currently, I am a BD gardener at Claymont Court
(www.his.com/~claymont/cc.html), a 400 acre ORGANIC historic property
(surveyed by George Washington!!) which is located just outside of Charles
Town West Virginia, USA (just outside of Harper's Ferry, very near to the
Shenadoah and Potomac Rivers) My current project is developing a CSA
relationship with United Way relief organizations in Jefferson County.
I've been working with BD and Steiner's ideas for over 10 years now.
I was drawn into biodynamics through personal illness. This illness
necessitated my gaining knowledge of how to grow toxin free, nutritionally
dense, food. I have found no method for doing this that even approaches
biodynamics.
I am the WEBMASTER of the 'official' BD Association WWW page. I would
appreciate any contributions you have for that page, particularly
photographs, etc. We are acquiring a COLOR SCANNER for this project and
hope to substantially upgrade the 'look and feel' of the BD page in the
near future, but only with your help!
I'm spending all the daylite hours working at the Claymont project, but
normally check my email twice a day, so, please be patient in seeing your
BD list messages as they fly through hyperspace!!
Claymont is proud to be hosting the 1996 East Coast Biodynamic Conference,
Oct 4-6. Please plan to attend!! (And feel free to be involved!!!)
In my 'spare time,' my wife and I operate INTERGALACTIC GARAGE Collectible
Disks, as we have done for almost twenty years. INTERGALACTIC GARAGE is a
walk-in store in record store in Shepherdstown, WV
(www.intrepid.net/igg/sheptown.html) and is an internet record store at
www.intrepid.net/igg. I'm not so much telling you this as an advertisement
as to explain my email address and the occassionally screaming footers you
will see! :-)
I hope you find the BD list useful!!
