Subject: Cornell's CENET now available

CENET, The Cornell Extension NETwork, is Available for Guest Login
Guest accounts are now available for login to CENET, The Cornell
Extension NETwork. These guest accounts will allow free access to any
person to view most of the electronic information resources of CENET.
Guest accounts are restricted from viewing any "internal" Cornell
Cooperative Extension information, from using any Internet resources not
on the CENET host, and from sending or receiving electronic mail. The
number of simultaneous guest accounts is limited during regular office
hours to insure efficient responses for regular CENET users.
Regular unrestricted CENET accounts are available to all extension
professional employed by any state or federal partner in the Cooperative
Extension System. Please contact the Extension Electronic Technology
Group at Cornell for more information.
Upon logging in, any person who uses the guest account will be able
to view any information from the following menu:

To use the CENET guest account, interested persons may place a phone
call to the CENET modem pool at 607-255-6196 or may use Internet to telnet
to EMPIRE.CCE.CORNELL.EDU (132.236.89.2). The login id is guest and no
password is required. CENET is also available through NCSA Mosaic and a
gopher interface is under development.
