Go to the website: www.livablecommunities.gov you'll find many tools
and
resources to help you with this problem. Also, talk with your Natural
Resource Conservation Service, located within the USDA, have them meet
with
you and ask them to bring along your state's local Dept. of Wildlife
biologist. They'll be more than willing to help you with a plan which
would include your farming, as crops are good for the ecology,
phytoremediation, preservation of water and soil and the wildlife.
NRCS can also guide you to your local conservation development office,
which can purchase right of ways, etc. to keep the land in the state
it is
in at this time and improve it. Right now is a wonderful time to get
informed and involved regarding the policy of 'save the farms and
corridors'.
