Sugar cane bagasse composting

I am an agronomist involved in cane production in the island of Maurtius.
For the last few months I have been thinking of using sugar cane bagasse
and pressmud filter which are both by-products of the cane factory in
compost making in order to soil them as a soil amendment. I would be
grateful if you could supply me with any information relative to the above.
