Re: the multiflora rose problem.  My horticulture professor advises the same
thing - that is, painting RoundUp on the cut stem in the fall.  Won't likely
do much good to paint it in the spring.  Also,  a friend of mine has
Scottish Highlander cattle - I think they eat multiflora rose.
Good luck, and wear jeans and boots in that pasture!  (Ouch.)  Do you have
blackberries growing out there too?
