SUMMARY STATEMENT: An incumbent in this class provides specialized services
and advice to the public and private sectors on an assigned forestry
program on a statewide basis. Specifically, this position is the
coordinator for Delaware's Urban and Community Forestry Program, and works
with other public agencies, private organizations, corporations, and
individuals to improve the urban forest resources throughout the state.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have education, training and/or
experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
1. Possession of a bachelor's degree in forestry, or a related field.
Must attach a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is
acceptable).
2. Experience in forest land planning, forest management, and forest
harvesting
activities.
3. Knowledge of the principles and practices of monitoring budgets, such
as grants
or contracts.
4. Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences.
