          Fundamentals July 6- 14, 2001This is the basic course for understanding Permaculture Design. Learning 
          format is multi-modal with a high teacher/student ratio. Practical exercises, 
          demonstrations, audio-visuals, and discussion complement focused presentations.

            Design Practicum August 10 - 18, 
            2001 Combining the larger subjects of the permaculture curriculum 
            with a focus on design of the Earthaven village landscape and culture, 
            this course together with Fundamentals completes the requirements 
            for the Permaculture Design Certificate. Presentations by experienced 
            designers introduce mentored small group design projects. Students

        Residency Program July 5 - August 18, 2001 For a limited number of mature individuals 
        we offer a summer residency at Earthaven combining the two certificate 
        courses above with four weeks of directed work projects applying design 
        skills and techniques to community infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity 
        to anchor learning with action for self-reliant living. Application with 
        references is required by June 1st.
