Hi Marty!

The National Germplasm Repository has one accession of Ledum palustre
available in the form of seed and is available for distribution. It was
originally collected 10/01/97 from Jilin, China. Habitat: open forest, 0%
slope, organic mossy mat over volcanic ash. The accession name and
identifier is: CBS 119 (this is the collector identifier & is a primitive
cultivar) NA 68878 (maintenance site & accession number). Normal amount of
distributed seed is 30, but you can request additional seed.

They also have a variation available for distribution: Ledum palustre var.
dilatatum Wahlenb. Both accessions are ERICACEAE. It was also collected
in 1997 in Jilin, China. Habitat: on spaghnum moss hummock on rocky scree,
45% E slopes. Accession name and identifier: CBS 033, NA 68792.

You may request germplasm from NPGS on the web at www.ars-grin/npgs/, click
on request germplasm, fill in the form and send it. Anyone may receive
germplasm for the purpose of cultivation trials, research, breeding or
educational purposes. While you're there, search the site for other
accessions that you have an interest in and add them to your list. You may
request the germplasm directly from the maintenance site (NA = National
Arboretum) or send all requests to the main site and they distribute the
requests to the pertinent maintenance site for shipping.

Blessings,
Ava
