Emmy-winning alumnus to deliver Nelson Benton Lecture

Draggan Mihailovich, an Emmy Award-winning producer with CBS, will present the Nelson Benton Lecture at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in Carroll Hall auditorium.

Since 1998, Mihailovich has been a producer for Bob Simon on "60 Minutes II." He received an Emmy in September for the very first piece he produced for the news show, called "The Lost Children."

Before joining "60 Minutes II," Mihailovich worked with CBS Sports for nearly 10 years, where he received four Emmys for his work. He covered six Olympic Games, and in 1998 he was senior feature producer for the network's coverage of the Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.

Mihailovich is a 1983 graduate of the UNC-CH School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
