Isn't this a strange result? The experiment is carried out in air, not in a vacuum. So why does a model which neglects drag forces provide such a good fit of the data?

Why do eqns. (9.2) and (9.3) essentially give the same result? Show mathematically that when and         are small, eqns (9.2) and (9.3) are identical. Follow procedure given for solving Question 1 - Practice.
