D.V. can be a prolific sucker producer in the right conditions, though it's also possible you could have a seedling.  Dig down and see if you find the alleged sucker coming off a horizontal root that runs back toward the grove.

Hello all
Does the above sucker?
In a grove of DV about 6 fet from nearest tree is a sucker (?) with the same leaf profile, same  leaf & stem colouration
