BTW: Did you buy that new car yet?
If not, check this site out.
They're called CarsDirect.com and it's a pretty sweet way to buy a car.

Lucky,

What do you mean by a 'coin purse' bud for nuts?

I tried budding and I tried whip and tongue when I wanted to put a corkscrew
hazelnut on a hazelnut seeding. Only one worked. I thought my timing was off
because there was a lot of sap flow (whip and tongue done in January).

Do you know another name for a 'coin purse' bud? My reference books are mostly
about pome fruts and I don't have anything on propagating nuts.

When do you have the most success with nut grafting?

Thanks,

Derry

: My best success with the nuts has been a 'coin-purse' bud, wrapped with a
: rubber strip, then enclosing the budded portion with a piece of plastic,
: kind of like enclosing it inside a bag - wrapped at the top with a piece of
: budding strip, closed at the bottom with masking tape,
