Re: [nafex] Akebia anyone?

I've only had Akebia once, from a vine N. of Eugene at a garden center; not
blotchy, the pods were a beautiful lavendar/pale violet, like a fruit from
Mars, the pulp was sweet, somewhat bland, but I'd not refuse it. Definitely
for fresh eating, but I'd try it again anytime, and as a display- wow! Most
others trying it at the permaculture gathering the fruit were brought to had
no trouble eating them.
