Chris, interesting parrallel results, for me all whip and tongue:

         yep/nope
apples   32 / 1
pears     5 / 20
apricots  2 / 25+
plum      3 / 25+

What is it about apples? they make an amature look competent!
The others that are so much more difficult, is it callusing? scion dormancy 
survival? temperature critical?   Mn. Del
