Re: [nafex] evans/bali

Del, save yourself the aggrivation in trying to grow Evans cherries from
seeds. Dr. Evans has sprouted thousands, and to date not a one is as hardy
or as good as the parents. The ONLY way is to get a tree from a root
sucker, or from tissue culture. It grafts readily, but almost always dies
the first winter. It has survived in a very few instances as a graft on
pincherry or chokecherry for a very few years.
