Hi Tom,
My server does exactly what you just described. It
screens viruses and destroys the contaminated files. You receive instead a
message giving information on the virus and where it came from.
This is highly practical, as you pointed out. If I
am not up to date with the latest version of Norton, I can at least depend that
they are...
We shall see how they do tomorrow with CODE RED,
which is supposed to spread throughout the computerized world....

Hi,
Just a suggestion...
If someone could
post the YahooGroups abuse complaint web page, we all could send abuse
complaints asking YahooGroups to begin screening all file attachments for
viruses before they are sent out to YahooGroups.
It would be a lot
easier for YahooGroups to maintain "up to the minute" virus identification
and screen out those infected files, than all of us thousands of users to
keep currant.
It would also help if they notified the sender that they
sent a virus out, allowing the user to clean their machine.
Just a
suggestion that is easy for all of us to
do.
Regards, Tom
