[nafex] Pollen-ation

Doreen: I have read some of Michael Pollen's stuff, and am not
impressed. He seems to be one of those garden writers who knows just
enough to make him dangerous. I have read that one of his four
favorite crops is marijuana. I'll bet you could learn more about apples
from Ed Fackler in five minutes than by reading one of Pollen's books.

BTW, let us know what you think of the Geneva Crab. I've got a little
one that I built from a scion sent to me by a fellow in S. Indiana, not
far from where Ed lives. It hasn't fruited yet, but it started the year
with reddish leaves, and looks as if it will be quite beautiful. It's
supposed to have red flesh, right? Thought I would eventually blend it
into the cider for a little red color.
