Re: [nafex] Hmm. Kousa fruits. Not bad...



I also tasted some C. Kousa fruits the other day, on the property of a
local school.  My husband was a bit concerned as I said, "I've always
wondered what these taste like", and proceeded to find out.  (He was
less concerned after I assured him I knew what the plant was, and that
it wasn't toxic.)  

I didn't try to eat the whole fruit, but broke off a point and sucked
out the flesh.  Even so, I didn't like the consistency, but was
impressed by the flavor, which reminded me of mango.
