[nafex] tropical apple orchards

Here's a request that was posted to the Environmental History net. I have no idea, but hopefully someone else might have a lead.

My name is Jó Klanovicz, I'm a historian and now I'm looking for any
information about ochards of temperate climate (apple, only), established in
regions of tropical forests. This topic is a part of my research in
Environmental history, because here in South Brazil I'm working with the
subject: "Apple plantations in Brazil and their implication in the social
behavior between 1960-1990 (The case of Fraiburgo - Santa Catarina State -
Brazil)."
