[nafex] Soil PH

Robert:

I have had a lot better luck with iron sulphate on blueberries than
I ever had with aluminum sulphate or plain sulphur. The response of the
plants --- dark green leaves and more of them --- was much better with
iron sulphate than the other stuff.

There is a body of thought that holds that aluminum can be toxic in
the soil. I don't know about that, but I quit using aluminum sulphate
mainly because I couldn't see any positive results. One 5 lb. bag of
iron sulphate (costing about 5-6 dollars) takes care of a dozen
blueberries for me, with a little left over for the azaleas and
hydrangeas. I put it on every spring in about April.
