Just because a business is small and does not take credit cards does not
make me leary.

His prices are low probably due to low overhead, like not taking credit
cards.  All credit cards charge the business a percentage of their sales.

Also, the size of the plant will affect the the price considerably.

If you do not get a bad report from the list, give them the benefit of the
doubt, and report back to the list.

Personally, I prefer a small nursery rather than dealing with a huge,
faceless corporation, who most likely buys their stock from small growers
anyway.  Cut out the middleman, save money.
