Yes, got quite fond of it. There is a white variety as well in the 
campo.......Passing a communal bowl around a circle in a chicharia, everyone 
spilling a drop on the earth for respect for Pachamama before drinking , and 
dancing barefoot...good memories.   If chicha, made from dried sprouted maiz 
is a wine, does that make corn a fruit?!  Can fruits make beer, and grains 
wine?   I remember the fiesta de las manzanas (apples) outside of 
Cochabamba, I'm guessing it was at about 6500 feet elevation.
