[NAFEX] fireblight in rootstock

Last year I cut down a Tompkins King tree due to fireblight. I didn't
have time to remove the roots and now it has ten or so nice looking
sprouts.
I would like to graft and stool onto this mystery rootstock (another
story) from Southmeadow but I don't know if the fireblight that was on
the grafted portion of the tree is a factor.
Any opinions?

Thanks much, Bob Sorenson Z4
