After the discussion about using egg spray to
repel deer from the orchard, I had this cool idea of using fish emulsion spray
to keep them away. It seems that if the odor of egg repels deer, the odor of
fish emulsion on the foliage ought to drive them out of the county. And besides,
you might get some foliar feeding benefits.
So late one evening last week I sprayed my
grape vines with 1T of fish emulsion in a gallon of water. Smelled awful. That
night, the deer ate foliage off my Reliance vine. Back to eggs.
