[SANET-MG] recombinant human lysozyme produced commercially

One aspect of the ongoing battle over transgenic rice producing recombinant
human lysozyme that has been field "tested" in California is that the test
plots are very large (as much as 180 acres).Such large sites go well beyond any
need for testing. Earlier I reported that trypsin, aprotinin, avidin and beta
glucuronidase were being marketed based on "test" plot production.Well, I
finally located a commercial source for recombinant human lysozyme produced in
rice. The information is given below. The probability that commercially producing
bio pharmaceuticals in food crops will seriously compromise US crop exports
could be one reason the back door distribution through test plot production is
undertaken. As I reported earlier human lysozyme is not benign and has , among
other problems, been found associated with amyloid associated with Alzheimer's
and ALS. US farmers will soon have to grow very militant about the underhanded
way bio pharmaceuticals have been introduced into food crops using secretive
field "test" plots to produce and to pollute food crops!
