The workshop -- sponsored by the Florida Agricultural &
Mechanical University College of Engineering Sciences,

collaborating small farmers -- will be held at Craig and
Debbie Hardin’s Iraloke Farms located in Salem Florida.

Promoting food production that is environmentally, emotionally,
and economically enhancing for both producer and consumer,
Joel Salatin is a third generation clean food farmer. A much
sought-after conference speaker, he addresses a wide range of
issues, from: “creating the farm your children will want; to
“making a white collar salary from a pleasant life in the country.”

He has authored four books: Pastured Poultry Profits: Net
$25,000 in six months on 20 acres, Salad Bar Beef, You
Can Farm: The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Start and Succeed
in a Farming Enterprise, and Family Friendly Farming: A
Multi-generational Home-based Business Testament. Salatin’s
columns appear in ACRES USA and Stockman Grass
Farmer magazines.

A truly innovative farmer, Joel Salatin has received numerous
conservation awards. In addition, the farm has been featured in
National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazine. His mother,
Lucille, wife, Teresa and their two children, Daniel, 21 and
Rachel, 15 work fulltime together on the family farm.

Adriana Sagrera is committed to alternative veterinary medicine
as a way to improve the health of her patients in the most natural
and non-invasive means possible. She graduated from Louisiana
State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 and
practiced for six years when she observed what a positive
effect homeopathic care had on patients. In 1995, she became
a certified classical veterinary homeopath, also receiving
training in western herbology, Chinese herbal medicine,
and veterinary chiropractic medicine.
