Hi Robert -

The organic farming resource list below contains a list of key
titles for magazines and journals geared to commercial organic
farming.

Permaculture and agroforestry is another big topic,
separate from the organic farming list below.

The Overstory, a prominent e-newsletter on agroforestry
from Craig Elevitch and Kim Wilkinson in Hawaii, published
a two-part resource list on agroforestry.

The Overstory #100
Agroforestry Resources: agroforestry references, species references,
and book sources (Part 1 of 2)
http://www.agroforester.com/overstory/overstory100.html

Incidentally, The Overstory also published an issue on
agroecology which is another topic you seek.

The Overstory #95
Agroecology: principles and strategies
http://www.agroforester.com/overstory/overstory95.html

In addition, there are quite a few other magazines geared to
small farm agriculture and alternative crop and livestock
enterprises, such as "Small Farm Today" and "Small Farm Journal."

The web link to RGOSVP below has the complete address
details, including web pages for each magazine and journal.

I can highly recommend each one of the magazines below.

Among the journals, especially see these three titles:

*American Journal of Alternative Agriculture
*Agriculture, Ecosystems, and Environment
*Biological Agriculture and Horticulture

For reference, the National Agricultural Library, NAL,
publishes the following list of journals indexed in AGRICOLA
(the bibliographical database containing literature citations to
journals articles, bulletins, books, and proceedings).

For online research, with access to prominent agriculture
databases, directories, library catalogs, and topic-specific
search engines on the Internet, see:
