Below are SFI data on my vineyard soil taken (4/16 both years) after
a year of CT soil drenches (10 times ,~10 gallons per acre). As you
can see some progress in increased fungal mass but still low in
protozoa Flagellates, Amoebae and in Nematode population as well as
having root eaters :(. I used a soluable Mycorrhizal product (Bio-
Grow from Mycorrhizal Applications) in one of the CT drenches and
that seemed to help - from 5 to 24%. Elaine recommended Humic acid
to increase Mycorrhizal population..

# AB TB AF TF HD P/F P/A P/C N M%

92674 35.1 169 20.9 111 2.5 5,393 6,737 50 3.7 5

96104 61.9 162 40.8 405 2.5 5,725 7,152 173 0.5 24

2002 was an EXTREME drought year in VA and that may have slowed the
progress some.

I have read that Chitin will help with the root feeding Nematodes -
comments/suggestions?
Also suggestions on how to increase good nematodes other than
innoculating.
I assume just more tea will help with the low Protozoa. ALL
comments welcome.
Thanks to SFI for the CT grant.
