Investigative Research International (IRI) is a non-governmental
organization (NGO) committed to investigative research for the
empowerment of people. As a public service, IRI also offers IRI-L, its

IRI APPLIED RESEARCH OPERATION
Shortly after making IRI-L, ACADEMY-L, CALAMITY-L, and CARE-L
available to introduce you to IRI's work, Investigative Research
International will launch the applied research arm of its operation. IRI
believes that professionals in organizations need specialized knowledge to
understand their environments and the people they serve in order to
maximize opportunities and overcome obstacles in designing viable options
for the accomplishment of goals. Securing such information necessitates
the very specific investigative research efforts IRI undertakes.
Investigative Research International 's broad areas of interest
encompass the same topics as its online lists:
o Cutting-edge issues in higher education
o Large-scale calamities
o Cultural and social rights of children, women, and ethnic minorities
The focus is again international and contemporary and includes the United
States.
Investigative Research International has adopted as its logo the
enduring bamboo. Over the course of human history, the bamboo has been a
vital source of food and material for shelter, household items, crafts,
hunting and fishing implements for peoples in many parts of the world.
Such is its versatility. It has been said that among the safest places to
take shelter in an earthquake is in a bamboo grove because it is not
easily uprooted. Such is the bamboo's strength and resilience. IRI
believes that versatility, strong craftsmanship, and persistence
characterize Investigative Research International.
The scope of all work performed for you is fully dependent on your
requirements. Investigative Research International takes you as far along
the research process as your resources permit, or through a full research
process and follow-up appropriate to the project.
Our repertoire includes:
o Conducting on- and off-site investigative qualitative
and/or quantitative studies, including retrieval of
relevant information from the Internet and libraries,
then
o Analyzing and synthesizing the information, and
o Presenting executive summaries, short reports, and/or
full studies in a readily understandable way,
subsequently
o Drawing policy/action implications, then
o Developing researched-based strategic plans and
implementation procedures, and
o Devising training seminars to promote understanding
and resolution of operational issues which arise
in planning and programming, and finally
o Assessing the success of implemented policies/actions
