Re: corn gluten for weed control

I'm faxing you the article which can be found on pp. 125-126 of the Nov. '95
issue (Vol. 12, #11) of HORTIDEAS.  CGM's herbicidal effects were discovered
at Iowa State Univ. a few years ago and it was found to be very effective
against several types of germinating weeds including purslane, creeping
bentgreass, and buckhorn plaintain.  One problem is the cost of the
commercially available patented product (anywhere from $53-$159/1000 sq. ft.
based on dosages used in the trials), but one could obtain CGM from cheaper
sources.
