Try Barbara Griggs' Green Witch Herbal which is largely based on household
books of the 17th and 18th century.  Also, Culpeper's herbal was still in
print then, and his works only list English herbs.  The problem with
modern herbals is that they usually mix herbs from both sides of the
Atlantic, not all of which would have been available in England at that
time.
