Following Coleman's 4 seasons

Hi Kirsten--I've thrown out my idea to Heenah Mahyah Student Farm (producer for Magic Beanstalk CSA in Ames IA) to use a smaller hoophouse, and pivot it 90 degrees twice a year. And use one big season extender inside facing south for the winter. We haven't gotten the hoophouse, and I'm "graduating" from the group this winter, so I'm hoping they'll be interested enough to try it. I'm definitely excited to hear how others are doing!

P.S. I'd also recommend Roald Gundersen's work with strawbale greenhouses:

Anyone on the net that has experience growing in all four seasons? I am
reading Coleman's books and am going to give it shot in some small plots
(in the city, Arlington, VA). Just wanted to see if any other people
were just starting to try it out.

Kirsten

p.s. Thanks to all the people who got back to me re: affordable
greenhouses.
