I am pleased to announce that SAN has nearly finalized an on-line,
updatable CALENDAR of SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE EVENTS. It can be found at
http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/san/htdocs/events/
You can also go to our home page (http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/san/)
and click on News, Announcements and Events.
I am including the calendar at the END OF THIS MESSAGE.
The calendar, developed for SAN by North Carolina State University (NCSU),
allows anyone to input a sustainable agriculture event. I encourage all
to use the technology to ensure timely, accurate input of your events.
All entries to the calendar must be approved by SAN personnel (usually
me), so there may be a delay of a day or two depending on my schedule.
Features of the WWW version of the calendar include:
* Input of your own events
* Selection of a time frame to view
* Print version option
* Hot e-mail address and hot URL (WWW address)
* Search engine
* Correctable (if you find an error, please contact san@nal.usda.gov)
* More timely than ever.
There is also a link from the calendar page to the SARE grant calendar
for each of the 4 regions of the SARE (Sustainable Agriculture
Research and Education) program. I have also included the schedule in
this message.
PLEASE contact me directly if you encounter any bugs in the system, or if
you have suggestions for improving it. We're still working on a few
small items.
SAN will continue to add your events to the calendar if you e-mail, FAX or
snail-mail them to me at:
