GBlist: Re: Living Machines

It seems like there is lots of interest in the Living Machine concept.
Now that I have some Idea how they work, and have checked out several of
the sites mentioned from this list, I would like to find out more
technical details.

Is the design patented?
What kind of costs of construction are close to reality?
What temperature range is needed for satisfactory operation?
What kind of maintenance is involved over the long term?
How delicate are the systems to influxes of non-sewage type wastes?
Does anyone know where designs can be located?

This is a compilation of the sites everyone has sent on Living Machines,
for those interested

It seems that John Todd's site is not in service...does anyone know why?
