Objectives and Insights

My goal is to find a position that allows me to continue to push the limits of network distributed information. I love my work and thrive on the challenge of finding new solutions for serving rich, dynamic media. There are few occupations that can reach so many and provide the masses with information.

The challenge of making content that is valuable, accessible, intuitive, and easy to navigate, makes my work exciting. Those features that make the World Wide Web and Intranet communications unique are the things that I enjoy doing. When I started working at SunSITE, there weren't many other Web servers for people to go to. Our unique position was enough to make us valuable. Today there are so many servers and such an amazing array of content that just making information available in not enough. Now it's important to provide information in an interesting and organized fashion.

For the prospective employer, my skills are listed in my resume. There is a great deal more that makes me especially valuable that can not be listed in a resume. I believe that I am one of those rare individuals that can bridge the gap between geeks and the common user. An important part of my job at SunSITE is to facilitate the needs of our collection managers and teach others about our work. In these duties I speak to a diverse audience of varying skill levels. The message is well received when the tailored to the target audience.

I look forward to working in an environment that allows me to be a creative problem solver. The environment here at SunSITE is unmatched in its support for trying new techniques and applications. I hope to find a similar work environment with the same flexibility, willingness to push the limits of technology, and commitment to serve users.
