Two data sets were collected and analyzed in this study. First, data were collected on all juveniles waived to adult court from 1981-1993 and subsequently sentenced to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID) (N = 946). Second, data were collected on all juveniles determinately sentenced in juvenile court from 1987-1993 (N = 358). |
