John Elree Joines

Dies In Hospital

John Elree (Frail) Joines, 67,
of Route 1, Moravian Falls, died
early Saturday morning at
Wilkes General Hospital.
Mr. Joines was born in Wilkes
County Aug. 7, 1914, the son of
John Wesley James and Ger-
trude Brock Joines. He was a
farmer and a veteran of World
War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Blanche Clanton Joines, of
Route 1, Moravian Falls; two
daughters, Mrs. Joyce Newman
of Moravian Falls and Mrs.
Carol Sivalia of Chapel Hill; one
son, Jerry Joines of Troutman;
four sisters, Mrs. Fay Gentle of
North Wilkesboro, Mrs. Mildred
Brookshire of Kings Creek,
Mrs. Marie Adams of North
Wilkesboro and Mrs. Maude
Sloop of China Grove; two
brothers, Bob Joines of Albany,
Ga., and Bud Joines of
Moravian Falls; and one
grandchild.
Graveside services were
conducted at 4:30 p.m. Saturday
at the Joines Family Cemetery
by the Rev. John Lovette.
Memorials may be made to
the intensive care unit of Wilkes
General Hospital.
