RE: Speaking of Goldfinches

I happened to be working from home today and I must have had at least 20
goldfinches at the thistle & sunflower feeders; quite a show! Several
warblers, chickadees, purple finches, nuthatches, titmice and more. The
eastern phoebe that built a next in one of the eaves on my front porch last
year has returned to the same nest. A lot going on just outside
Hillsborough this early Spring.

Subject: Speaking of Goldfinches

This is the first year in 25 years of feeder watching that we have not
had a single Goldfinch at our feeders. Nothing was changed and the other
usual feeder species were present in usual numbers, even though there
were no irruptive species.

If anyone had them "down east" near the coast, I would love to hear from
you.
