C.birders,
Delighted to have a yellow-throated warbler visit this morning. First
thought is was a black-and-white in bad light, creeping along maple
branches. But the light improved,and a non-black-and-white hawk-and-sally
revealed a vibrant yellow. Still wasn't able to get a good look at the
supraloral before he left, so the subspecies is uncertain. This was my
first yellow-throated for the high country.
Its happening!

but because knowing them well elevates the very concept of life. Edward
