Bobolink

The previously reported Bobolink are still at the NCSU farms off Lake
Wheeler Rd in southern Wake County. Specifically, 3 singing males were in
the weedy field immediately before the Air Quality Educational Unit on
Inwood Road. As mentioned in several previous posts, the grounds are off
limits due to the foot and mouth scare, but birding from the road should
not pose a problem. Fortunately I did not observe any cows that appeared
perturbed, frothing, or itchy <g>.

Also noted a few Indigo Buntings on Mid-Pines Rd and a Spotted Sandpiper in
the hog lagoon visible from Inwood Rd.
