Re: Fw: (Fwd) Chimney Swift Monitoring Project Seeks Involvement

Speaking of Chimney Swifts,
This past Monday after attending the N. Augusta Middle School's open house,
I was leaving the parking lot and looked up over the school, I am positive
there was well over 100 swifts flying around the top of the school. Awesome
sight at dusk. No way to count all of them. Being one of the last people
to leave the principal was waiting at the gate for me to drive through so he
could lock it.. I sat outside the gate and watched them circle for 15
minutes, never did see where they went in. But you can see them flying
above the school if you park at the gate. This is in N. Augusta SC, one
hour away from Columbia. Think I will return and see if I can stay long
enough to see them go inside.
