HBSP, 9-1



Hi y'all,
    Having literally "missed the boat" this morning, I wandered around
Huntington Beach State Park. Pretty good morning (71 spp.) with a cpl of
really cool birds for the park.

P-b Grebe - 5  (Sandpiper Pond)
Brown Pelican
D-c Cormorant
Least Bittern
Great Blue Heron
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Little Blue Heron
Tricolored Heron
Green Heron
Yellow-crowned Night-heron - 5 (2 ad., 3 imm.)
White Ibis
Wood Stork - a bunch still hanging around the Mullet Pond this a.m.
Blue-winged Teal
Osprey
Clapper Rail - bunch of these, too. Several seen, several million heard.
Black-bellied Plover - cpl still in breeding plumage

south of the jetty.

Path. Stunningly beautiful little bird glowed on an otherwise gray day.

Returned home to find a Y-b Cuckoo sneaking thru the trees.
