This morning (Tuesday) I was at the N. end of the island and saw the
following.
(At the roost in the marsh about a block from the dead end).
15 Tri-colored herons
2 Little blues
2 snowy egrets
and a few other greats and great blues as expected
(On the beach on the ocean side sleeping in the sun)
80+ semi-palmated plovers
4 piping plovers
2 sanderlings
1 semi-palmated sandpiper
and some gulls
Lots of Caspian Terns
300 or so Black Skimmers
and the usual smattering of expected things with long legs and long
bills.
Nothing else unexpected but all were great for a land lubber like me.
