Here are some photos of birds that were on the Southport CBC:
The bizarre goose trio (1 blue Snow, 1 Ross's, and 1 white Snow - gotta love
that ratio) that Greg Massey found shortly after he found the GT Towhee:

The bizarre Barred Owl that Jeff Pippen found sitting like a stump on the
lawn at Fort Caswell in the middle of the day:

Addendum to the Chapel Hill Count summary: I meant to mention that there
were three hummingbirds (2 Rufous, 1 Calliope) outside, but tantalizingly
close to (<1 mile), the count circle. These were banded by Susan Campbell
the day before the count.
