Hi C-birders,
This morning I birded solo at Huntington Beach S.P., Murrells Inlet,
Georgetown County, SC. from 8 to 11:15 AM. I did not go to the jetty area.
I birded Mullet Pond, most of the carriage path, long marsh boardwalk and a
little ways into the Sandpiper Pond trail. Good weather with seasonal temps
and little wind. At any rate 45 species. Most notable were the hordes of
robins and the first decent flock of waxwings I saw there this winter. 8
species of waterfowl in Mullet Pond.
After the visit to Huntington, I went to Pawleys Island and had good looks
at the 1yr male Rufous Hummingbird that Beth Wiley is hosting at her
home. He has a good beginning on a gorget.
Good birding.
Jack
