My wife and I spotted 19 Bonaparte's Gulls on the South side of the
Garden City Pier. They were doing their "tern" act along the breakers close
in to shore. Actually they were led by a Common Tern. Tended to travel south
along the shore to the first jetty (about 500 yards down from the pier) and
then return to the pier for a repeat trip. They have been present for at
least a week. (Feb 17-24.)
