New arrivals in Morris Creek, in the southwest corner of Fairfield county,
this morning included the first heard Northern Parula and a few notes from
a Red-eyed Vireo. Among the other singers in this song-filled morning were
Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Bluebird, Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellow-throated
Warbler, Purple Finch, Pine Siskin, and Chipping Sparrow against a
constant background of Carolina Chickadee and Northern Cardinal song.
This is why I like spring!
