Hi Folks,
A non-birding colleague has a pair of hawks building a nest in a
wooded stretch behind their yard near Eno SP in Durham. She has ID'd
it as broad-winged (using the Audubon guide). I told her it is more
likely to be a red-shouldered, based partly on her description and
also on the migratory behavior of BW's making it too early for them
to already be nesting. Regarding this migration point, am I correct
on this or am I just wildly guessing?
Best wishes
