Hi,
I rounded the bend in our development Sun. night and there on the ground
by the edge of the road sat a nightjar, I was about 20 yrds. from the
bird. I had my windows down and had been hearing the Chuck. A little
earlier in the night I heard my first Whip-poor-will of the year.
Question- I have heard the Chuck in the same area for about a month. I
have narrowed the call down to a large isolated tree. Has anyone had any
luck finding a nightjar in daylight after locating one by sound at
night?
