My son and I went up on the Pkwy last weekend. At the overlooks just N. of
the Oteen entrance the Indigo Buntings were everywhere.
Embarrassed to say this was my first view of an Indigo. What a beauty,
remainds me of the turquoise water in the Bahamas. At one point we had an
Indigo and Blackburnian in the same view. Also saw several Black and White
warblers and 2 Chesnut sided. We had 4 hawks in one view. 2 broad wings and
2 red tailed.
We only spent 1 1/2 hrs as my son had a plane to catch.
